Samuel received his BSc in Mechanical Engineering from University of Nairobi in 2001. He was a UNU Fellow at UNU-GTP in 2014, and has been working on his MSc studies in Sustainable Energy Engineering at RU since the summer of 2016, on a UNU-GTP Fellowship. He is married and has 2 children.
After several years as production and maintenance engineer for industries, Samuel joined KenGen in 2010 as a Drilling Engineer. Since then he has been involved in preparations for drilling operations in the Olkaria geothermal field, including supply of drilling material, procurement of materials and equipment, coordinating and supervising rig movements, cementing operations and maintenance of wellhead equipment.
