    Michael John O’Sullivan is a professor in the Department of Engineering Science and a member of the Geothermal Institute at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He has pioneered computer techniques for numerical modeling of geothermal reservoirs and applied them to modeling studies of many real systems, including Wairakei and Ohaaki, New Zealand. He received the Henry J. Ramey Award for Geothermal Reservoir Engineering from the Geothermal Resources Council in 2011. He is a graduate in Civil Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Auckland and has a Ph.D. from the California Institute of Technology.
