Kennedy graduated with a BSc in Geology from University of Nairobi in 2007. He was a UNU Fellow at UNU-GTP in 2013, and has been working on his MSc studies in Chemistry of Thermal Fluids at UI since late 2016, on a UNU-GTP Fellowship.
After some years in gold and diamond exploration, Kennedy was employed as a geochemist by Kenya Electricity Generating Company, Ltd. – KenGen in 2011. His work has covered a.o.t. monitoring of the production field in Olkaria, including steam purity and quality; chemical well discharge testing; and chemical modelling of the Olkaria geothermal field as a part of the conceptual model building.
