Johannes Scholl is Head of Division (Energy and Financial Sector) in the Latin America and Caribbean Department at KfW, the Executing Agency of the official bilateral German Financial Cooperation. He oversees a portfolio of over EUR 4 billion of energy investments in Latin America, including the German and EU support to the Geothermal Development Facility (GDF) for Latin America, founded in 2016.
Prior to his current position, he was Project Manager for Urban Development and Mobility in KfW’s South Asia Division and KfW Sector Economist. Before joining KfW in 2010, he was Advisor to the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
He studied Cultural Studies and Economics at Universität Passau (Germany) and Universidad de Córdoba (Spain).
