    Irma is a BSc graduate of the Trisakti University in Jakarta from 2002. She was a UNU Fellow at UNU-GTP in 2011, and has been working on her MSc studies in Environmental Science at UI since late 2016, on a UNU-GTP Fellowship.

    Irma started her professional career in the oil and gas industry as an environmental engineer. In 2006, she switched from fossil fuels to the geothermal industry and has since been working for Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE) in the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental Division).  In her work in 2006-2014, she was responsible for ensuring positive progress and performance of operation and project site environmental programmes, including supervision, monitoring and studies of environmental social impact assessment. Since 2014, she has been responsible for developing and implementing organizational Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies, procedures and compliance.
