The topic of direct uses for food security and sustainability has raised deserved attention internationally. The Global Geothermal Alliance (GGA – IRENA) the Icelandic Ministry for Foreign Affairs organize the meeting with the support of Iceland Geothermal. The objective is to share insights on direct and integrated uses of geothermal energy and especially for food growing and drying.

Participants in this half-day session include participants from Mexico, France, Iceland, Kenya and other countries. This session will offer its participants a unique opportunity to understand the opportunities and solutions that geothermal can offer in relation to food production. The full agenda will be introduced in March.
